Got a defensible-space correction quote?
Check the scope before you approve the work.
A failed inspection should become a precise correction scope — not an open-ended landscaping or home-hardening project. If you already have the Alpine Fire deficiency report and a contractor estimate, Golden Relay can review the two together before the seller commits.
The point is not to chase the cheapest crew. It is to understand what the inspection actually requires, preserve what does not need to be disturbed, use the right licensed trade for each item, and keep the correction tied to reinspection and the transaction clock.
What a serious second look should check.
The inspection report is the controlling starting point. We review the proposed work against that requirement, the actual property, the trade classification and the acceptance path.
Mandatory vs. optional
Separate the actual deficiency items from elective landscaping, broad clean-up, aesthetic upgrades or unrelated home-hardening work.
Property-specific scope
Account for structures, decks and patios, mature trees, fences, outbuildings, propane, access, slopes and disposal without assuming every visible feature must be removed.
Right trade, right price
Map each correction to the appropriate licensed work and compare like-for-like scope rather than accepting one bundled prime quote at face value.
Acceptance, not activity
Define what evidence is needed, what has to be ready for reinspection, and which items still depend on Alpine Fire rather than treating crew completion as the finish line.
Where over-scoping usually hides.
We are comfortable telling you there is nothing to optimize.
If the deficiency is narrow and the contractor quote is properly scoped, appropriately licensed and commercially reasonable, the useful answer may simply be: keep moving.
- No invented deficiency.
- No promise that every quote can be reduced.
- No tree removal recommendation from listing photos alone.
- No substitution of optional improvements for required correction.
- No claim to control Alpine Fire's inspection decision.
Send what the seller has already received.
We do not need a sales call to begin. Forward the Alpine Fire deficiency report and the contractor estimate, with the property address and the expected reinspection or closing date if known. We will first determine whether the scope appears aligned, incomplete or materially broader than the written correction requirement.
